Guidelines & More

If you have additional questions please reach out to our office at 281-427-0866 for more information or Contact Us today.

  • Age Policy

    • All construction and volunteers must be age 16 or older to assist on a Baytown Habitat for Humanity construction site.
    • If you have a youth group who wants to volunteer, please reach out to our office at info@baytownhabitat.org or 281-427-0866

  • What to Wear for Construction

    • Closed-toe tennis shoes or boots are required.
    • Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty are strongly encouraged. Anything you want to avoid getting stained, painted, or dirty is not recommended. Wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for a work site. Light-colored, cotton clothing and a hat are recommended for the summer (shorts are okay). Layered clothing is recommended for the winter.
    • Jewelry is not allowed because it can get damaged or lost very easily. Please leave your valuables at home! There is no storage space at the construction site!

  • Other Information

    • No drugs or alcohol are allowed at the construction site or the administrative offices.
    • Do not bring purses, pets, or children under 16 to the construction site or the offices.
    • Volunteers are asked not to park in front of anyone’s driveway or mailbox.
    • Construction locations, workdays, and assignments are subject to change due to the unpredictable nature of volunteer construction work. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
    • We encourage all volunteers to embrace our community partners and neighbors as you build with us on-site. As you work with us, please remember to remain mindful of your environment and always utilize sound judgment.

Home Doormat

Their first bedroom starts with YOU.

For children who have never had their own bedroom, these dreams mean everything. Every gift helps Baytown Habitat build a safe home where a family can put down roots and children can simply be kids.
