At Baytown Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves a safe, decent place to live. We bring people together to build not just homes, but the foundation for stronger families, deeper roots, and a brighter Baytown.

What We Do:

Baytown Habitat for Humanity provides safe, affordable homes for hardworking families in the Baytown area through a community-based model that blends volunteer engagement, financial education, and partnership housing. Our program includes applicant screening, homeowner education, sweat equity hours, and construction of new energy efficient homes built alongside volunteers and community partners. Families purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage that supports long term stability.

Beyond construction, the program strengthens families through financial classes, home maintenance training, community events, and wraparound support. We also engage corporate and civic groups in volunteer days, which increases community investment and broadens the impact of each build. Every home we complete adds long term value to the neighborhood and helps break cycles of overcrowded or unsafe housing.

  • Last but certainly not least, the lady everyone wants on their team, we happily welcome Stephanie to our board of directors.

Stephanie Manley is the owner of The Salty Ledger, where she specializes in bookkeeping, accounting, and advisory services for local nonprofits and small businesses. She is passionate about helping organizations stay financially strong so they can continue serving their communities well.

A longtime resident of the Baytown area, Stephanie has lived in the community for nearly 30 years and is deeply rooted in serving others through both her professional and volunteer work. She actively volunteers with local nonprofits, including the Service League of Baytown, where she serves through Partners in Education alongside GCCISD school nurses to provide vision and hearing screenings for local students.

Stephanie is passionate about strengthening the local community and believes investing in and serving the community around you is one of the most meaningful ways to make a lasting impact. Her heart for service and passion for helping others make serving on the board of Habitat for Humanity especially meaningful to her.

Stephanie and her husband, Jesse, have two children who attend Baytown Christian Academy. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys vacationing with her family, reading, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.

We are thrilled to see how this partnership excels Baytown Habitat. 🤝
