"Our CRCU Team was truly honored to volunteer with Baytown Habitat for Humanity. It was such a rewarding experience to step away from our daily routines, spend time together as a team, and give back to our community. We're so thankful for the chance to lend a helping hand to an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of local families."

"My time with Habitat for Humanity Baytown has been incredibly rewarding because I get to work alongside people who truly care about helping families build stability and a better future. I am honored to serve on the board and chair the Development Committee, supporting fundraising efforts and looking for new ways to grow Habitat’s impact in our community."

"Many who serve Habitat have a personal connection to the challenges of housing insecurity. My path was different. As my years of volunteering through my children's activities ended, I felt called to put my Catholic faith into action in a new way. Through service to Baytown Habitat for Humanity, I have been blessed to donate time, talent, and treasure to help families build strength, stability, and opportunity through homeownership, and it has become both a privilege and a purpose."

"For many years, I have wanted to help with Habitat for Humanity. My father was a custom homebuilder, and I always visited the homesites with him and even assisted with parts of building at times. I have felt God leading me to volunteer with nonprofits and I enjoy helping others. Until recently, I thought helping build the home was the only way to volunteer. My health prevents me from physically working on the homesite. I discovered earlier this year that there are many other areas within Habitat for Humanity to volunteer. I have many years of office experience and support roles and have been able to utilize them at Habitat for Humanity. I have assisted in the office by shredding papers and scanning files into the computer. On the days I am scheduled to volunteer, I am excited to go in. As I am working, I am thinking about the families represented by the files and shredded paper. How they longed for a new home of their own, the impact the home would have on their family, and the children maybe having a room of their own for the first time. I think about the impact of the families seeing a community of people working alongside them to help them achieve a dream. I always walk away feeling rewarded and looking forward to the next time my work schedule allows me to volunteer."

"I really enjoy volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. My husband and I do this together, and sometimes our small group joins us. But the real joy has been being part of this home from the very beginning. I love working with my hands, being outside, and working hard. For the family and the little girls who will receive this home, I just wish them so many blessings. I pray that God continues to bless them as they begin this new chapter in their home."
